Following in the footsteps of her mother and late father, Gabrielle has starred in a number of feature films. In 2017 Gabrielle took on three more roles: writer, producer and director.
In her directorial debut It Happened Again Last Night, Gabrielle not only worked behind the camera, she also starred in the film, which gained a lot of attention in the festival circuit. The film competed in 16 festivals with 23 nominations and 12 awards including best director and best picture.
During the summer of 2018, Gabrielle wrote and directed her second film After Emma. The film stars Amy Smart (Just Friends, The Butterfly Effect) and Dee Wallace and will be playing film festivals in 2019.
Gabrielle’s fierce talent and passion sets her apart as a strong female presence in the entertainment industry.
I wrote After Emma with the hopes of capturing what mistakes, toxic relationships, and unresolved turmoil can result in. I wanted to explore the realness in different levels of substance abuse and the many paths that they can lead one down; the dynamic of a dysfunctional relationship that clearly should have ended years ago. Too often in our world today people want to pass blame onto another and hide from owning their faults. At the core of the film with our lead character is the main theme: only when you can accept responsibility for your actions can you begin to forgive yourself and work toward peace.
